We have recently had the pleasure of welcoming Chloe Porter here at Accommodation Concern as a volunteer Money Mentor. As a University of Northampton Law graduate, Chloe is now urging students to grab the many opportunities on offer at Northampton, to put their academic skills into practice alongside their studies.
Speaking about this opportunity Chloe said:
“The pandemic has resulted in many people facing difficulties, for me, I wanted to use my legal skills from the course to support people. Volunteering for Accommodation Concern was a fantastic learning experience, it’s helped develop my people skills, working with my clients to understand their situation, and then using my research skills to offer them the best advice to manage their debts. As well as using my communication skills to advocate for them in accessing the right kind of support.”
We predict great things for Chloe who has a great work ethic and a passion for people. If you fell you have something to offer us here at Accommodation concern and would like to offer up your time as a volunteer, why not contact us on 01536 416560 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
