Benefits, Debt & Housing Advisor – Full Time

Hours of work 37.5 hours per week
Salary ££23,809.50 - £25,278 per annum
Contract Fixed-term until 31st March 2026
Location Multiple locations across Northamptonshire
Annual leave 23 days plus bank holidays
Pension 3% employer contribution
Essential requirement You must be a driver with access to your own vehicle (this is non-negotiable)

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Generalist Advisor to provide high-quality, person-centred advice and casework across housing, welfare benefits, and debt. You'll be working across multiple locations in Northamptonshire to support clients facing poverty, housing instability, and financial hardship. This is a Fixed-term post until 31st March 2026.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver impartial advice and casework in housing, benefits, and debt matters
  • Assist with benefit applications, housing options, budgeting, and debt management
  • Advocate on behalf of clients with local authorities, creditors, and other agencies
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records using AdvicePro
  • Work flexibly across delivery sites and support clients via face-to-face, phone, and online channels

About You

  • Experience working with disadvantaged or vulnerable adults
  • Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills
  • A team player who can also work independently and manage a busy caseload
  • Knowledge of the welfare system and debt solutions
  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
