Commission Accommodation Concern

Practical services. Measurable outcomes. Lasting social value.

Commissioning and service design

Built around the outcome, not an off-the-shelf model.

Accommodation Concern works with public bodies, charitable trusts, health and social care providers, housing organisations and responsible businesses to design and deliver services that create meaningful, measurable change.

We have extensive experience delivering through Service Level Agreements, commissioned contracts and grant-funded programmes. We understand the importance of clear outcomes, effective mobilisation, strong governance, accurate reporting and demonstrating value throughout a project.

The cost of commissioning us depends on the service, location, scale and outcomes you want to achieve. We can deliver a complete service, add specialist capacity to an existing programme or work alongside you to develop a new response to an identified need.

Quality assurance

Regulated, quality-marked advice

AC is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for debt advice. Our services hold the Advice Quality Standard in debt, welfare benefits and housing, giving commissioners independent assurance about casework, supervision, governance and quality-management arrangements.

Specialist capability

Debt solutions delivered in-house

We do more than assess a problem and refer the client elsewhere. Our specialist team can provide end-to-end debt advice and access to a wide range of appropriate debt solutions, including Debt Relief Order work through four approved intermediaries.

Keeping this expertise in-house creates a more straightforward client journey, reduces delays and allows advisers to remain involved from initial assessment through to resolution.

More than financial gains

The value is human, practical and system-wide.

Home

A family whose eviction has been prevented.

Money

A person moving from unmanageable debt towards financial resilience.

Health

Someone leaving hospital with income and housing protected.

Prevention

A tenancy sustained before a housing problem becomes homelessness.

Resilience

An individual more able to manage health, finances and independence.

Systems

Reduced pressure on emergency, health, housing, social care and justice services.

For businesses

A social-value partner with measurable local impact

Commissioning AC can give community investment a clear connection between spend and local change. We can create programmes that support people experiencing hardship, improve financial resilience, prevent homelessness, address fuel poverty, support employees or vulnerable customers, and generate outcomes for social-value reporting.

For statutory organisations

A delivery partner for prevention priorities

For local authorities, NHS organisations, housing providers and other statutory commissioners, AC services can support homelessness prevention, health inequality reduction, earlier intervention, improved access, reduced fragmented referrals and demonstrable value for money.

Measuring what changes

Transparent reporting from the start

Every project is different, so we agree an impact framework with the commissioner at the beginning of the relationship. Reports can combine quantitative performance information with client outcomes, case studies, feedback and learning.

We take a proportionate and transparent approach. We distinguish between direct outcomes, estimated benefits and changes to which our work has contributed, rather than claiming responsibility for every improvement in a client’s life.

1

Reach and accessibility

Who was reached, how people accessed the service and whether communities facing barriers were engaged.

2

Immediate resolutions

Benefits secured, income gained, debts managed or written off, homelessness prevented and urgent risks addressed.

3

Stability and resilience

Improved financial capability, sustained tenancies, engagement, employment progress and greater independence.

4

Wider social value

Potential reduction in demand on homelessness, health, social care, emergency and criminal justice services.
