Accessing accommodation
We do not accept direct applications
We do not currently accept direct applications for our supported accommodation.
Most residents are referred through our partners at North Northamptonshire Council. This helps make sure referrals are considered alongside local housing duties, homelessness prevention work and the wider supported accommodation pathway.
Accommodation Concern also sits on the Supported Accommodation Multi Agency Panel. The panel helps make sure referrals are considered properly and that supported accommodation is used for people who are likely to benefit from this type of housing and support.
Who it is for
People likely to benefit from support
Our supported accommodation is for people who need a safe place to live and structured support while they rebuild stability, confidence and practical independent living skills.
Our homes are usually shared houses with between three and six residents. Each person has their own room and receives one-to-one support from a dedicated key worker.
Supported accommodation is not just about having a roof overhead. It is most effective when the person is ready to engage with support, work on practical goals and plan for a realistic move-on route.
How decisions are made
A multi-agency pathway
Referrals are considered through partner pathways and panel discussions so that supported accommodation is used appropriately and safely.
This means looking at the person's housing situation, support needs, risks, readiness for shared accommodation, and whether AC supported accommodation is likely to be the right setting at that point in their journey.
