Mental Health Northants Collaboration

Connecting housing, money advice and wellbeing support through Northamptonshire's VCSE mental health network.

Our membership

Why MHNC matters to our work

Mental Health Northants Collaboration supports VCFSE organisations providing mental health, learning disability and neurodiverse services across Northamptonshire.

Accommodation Concern is a member because housing insecurity, debt, poverty and mental health are closely connected. People can struggle to keep appointments, complete forms, manage rent, open post or deal with creditors when their mental health is under pressure.

Being part of MHNC helps us stay connected to local mental health services, make better referrals and build partnerships that respond to the whole situation rather than a single problem.

MHNC brings together voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations working across mental health and wellbeing in Northamptonshire.

Joined-up support

Where this connects

  • Debt and mental healthOur debt advice team can use the Debt and Mental Health Evidence Form where this supports safer, more informed debt advice.
  • Housing stressRent arrears, eviction threats, disrepair and homelessness risk can have a serious impact on wellbeing.
  • Financial resilienceMHNC is part of wider conversations about financial resilience, early help and community routes into support.
  • Warm referralsPartnership makes it easier to connect people to the right help without leaving them to navigate systems alone.

For partners

Working across systems

Good advice is part of good mental health support. Reducing debt pressure, preventing homelessness, securing income and helping people understand their rights can remove some of the practical strain that makes recovery harder.

Through MHNC and other local partnerships, we want advice, housing and wellbeing services to feel better connected for the people who need them most.
